Hinduism is a diversified and ethnic religion originating in India and is known as the oldest religion in the world, with its followers called Hindus. Most Hindus do not belong to one specific denomination or tradition,[1] but it has been generally used as an identifier of the people of India.[2]

Mythology

By modern times, some Hindu deities are still revered today, such as the goddesses Kali[3] and Durga.[4]

History

In the Isu Era, Durga happened to transport some of her consciousness into the Piece of Eden, the Koh-i-Noor. In 1839, Durga reappeared and took control of Pyara Kaur, who activated the jewel in front of both her lover and Indian Assassin Arbaaz Mir and the British Templar Francis Cotton while they fought each other. However, despite Durga's words of unity for the humans, Cotton was horrified and shot at the goddess, with one of the shots apparently destroying the jewel. The connection was severed and an energy blast occurred, which led to Cotton's death.[4]

While living with her husband and fellow Assassin Henry Green in India, Master Assassin Evie Frye learned from fellow Assassin brothers in India and learned about their culture and religion. She especially became fascinated with the Hindu goddess Kali and even gifted a statue of Kali to her brother and Master Assassin Jacob Frye upon his visit to India.[3]
