The Alkaios Tomb is a cavernous tomb located on Atoll Point near Paros Island, Greece.
During the Peloponnesian War, the Spartan misthios Kassandra explored the tomb, finding it to have been claimed by the Followers of Ares as a campsite. Within the depths of the tomb, Kassandra found an ancient stele.[1]
Trivia
- Though the name Alkaios is shared by multiple figures in Greek mythology, in the name of this tomb it most likely references the general of Rhadamanthus, associated with Paros Island.
