The Hammer of Hemorrhaging was a war hammer which belonged to the Makedonian man, Aiantides, during the 5th century BCE. Though messy, the weapon served well its wielder.
During the Peloponnesian War, Aiantides left the hammer for the Spartan misthios Kassandra to find as a reward for helping Aiantides' brother, albeit accidentally.[1]

Behind the scenes
The Hammer of Hemorrhaging, a weapon in Assassin's Creed: Odyssey, shares the same model as the commonly found Sledgehammer, another weapon in the same game. These are both the recycled model of the Gruesome Mattock, a weapon in Assassin's Creed: Origins, and thus are all based on the Roman Dolabra pickaxe.
