Ezio and Caterina escape the Vaticano District on Horses. Ezio fights the guards who attempt to follow them so that Caterina can escape to Tiber Island in secret. Several explosions at the Castel Sant'Angelo allow Ezio to escape the area.

Dialogue

Ezio helps Caterina mount a horse before mounting another one himself.

• Caterina: Hurry, Ezio.
• Ezio: Ride across the bridge. I will cover you.

They ride through crowds of Cardinals and Papal guards until they reach the edge of Pont Sant Angelo.

• Ezio: Go to Isola Tiberina (Tiber Island). Find Machiavelli there. He will be waiting for me.
• Caterina: What about you?
• Ezio: Someone has to stay here to distract the guards.
• Caterina: Get back in one piece, or I will never forgive myself.

Ezio dismounts his horse and draws his sword.

• Ezio: Go!

Caterina rides off to the Assassin's Guild. Ezio turns to face the oncoming guards. He fights with them long enough for Caterina to escape when suddenly there is a loud noise and explosion at the Castello.

• Guard: What was that? Quick! Back to the Castello!

Outcome

Ezio fights the guards long enough for Caterina to escape without being followed. Several explosions at the Castel Sant'Angelo allow Ezio to escape the area as the guards run back to the Castello.
