In 1526, he became a target of the surviving and vengeful Assassin [[Shao Jun]], after her return to China from [[Europe]]. Jun successfully infiltrated Yu's stronghold in [[Macau]], killed the Templar and recovered the [[Precursor Box]] he had previously taken from her. In his dying breath, Yu cursed Jun, telling her that this wasn't over as his fellow Templar would avenge him and that [[Zhang Yong]] will ultimately obtain the box. Still warm, his body was discovered soon after by [[Qiu Ju]] who ordered his men to arrest innocent citizens and to set the port of the city ablaze in retaliation for Yu Dayong murder by an Assassin.
