Grimsby is a village and the fishing port in Lincolnscire, England. In 875, Viking shieldmaiden Eivor Varinsdottir of the Raven Clan escorted a young lord Hunwald to the village to check on his Dane ladylove, Swanburrow.[1] The town was also a home for many Danes, including Aelfgar's hunting friend and the village's lord, Grim.[2] Through her travels, Eivor also returned an asleep man back to his wife, who lived in the village.[3]
Behind the Scenes
According to legend, the city was named after a Danish fisherman called Grim. However, in the legends, Grim was sometimes said to be Odin in disguise.
