Alexis Dumas is a French-Canadian 3D Environment Artist based in Montreal, Canada. He has contributed numerous environmental works for Assassin's Creed. As of 2023, he is currently the Senior Environment Artist at Amazon Games.

Assassin's Creed[edit | edit source]
For his work on Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag released in 2013, Alexis Dumas contributed level art for some of the undiscovered islands around the Caribbean, areas and backgrounds of Havana, jungle areas, and interior compositions of the main protagonist, Edward Kenway's ship, the Jackdaw.[1] He contributed more level art and assets for the 2014 released Assassin's Creed: Unity, including main protagonist, Arno Dorian's initiation dream-state,[2] interior and exterior compositions of Le Louvre and its surrounding area,[3] and the underground headquarters of the French Assassins, where he worked on all the modelling and specific organic textures.[4]
For Assassin's Creed: Syndicate released in 2015, Dumas contributed substantially more level art and assets. Practically all of the Whitechapel district of London was modelled by him, locations included were; 10 Downing Street, Horse Guards, Foreign Office, Montagu House, and Richmond Terrace among others.[5] He also created the interior of Buckingham Palace with textures created by Isabelle Gagnon and working off the exterior created by Kevin Kok.[6] Dumas then later worked as the Senior Level Artist on Assassin's Creed: Origins released in 2017, where he worked with a small team under Art Director Raphael Lacoste and Assistant Art Director Sebastian Primeau to create all organic aspects of the game's world and environment. Dumas, Alexandre Robert, Guillaume Croteau all handled rock modelling. Origins was the last Assassin's Creed game Dumas worked on.[7]
