I wanted to ask you something. Which is... what's your name? This article title is conjecture. Although the article subject is canon, no official name for it has been given. |
The Grand Bazaar was a large market in Constantinople.
History
The Grand Bazaar opened to the public in 1461 and was a very popular place with food, spices, pottery, fabric and much more. It was a very famous Turkish landmark and shopping location in the Ottoman Empire. It was vastly enlarged during the reign of Suleiman the Magnificent.
Trivia
- The modern day Grand Bazaar is one of the largest covered markets in the world with between 250,000 and a half million visitors daily.
- The name means "Covered Bazaar" (Turkish: Kapalıçarşı).
- The Grand Bazaar was seen in the Assassin's Creed: Revelations E3 Demo when Ezio walks through it to get to the Great Chain.
