The Grand Bazaar was a large market in the Galata district of Constantinople.
History
The Grand Bazaar opened to the public in 1461 and was a very popular place with food, spices, pottery, fabric and much more. It was a very famous Turkish landmark and shopping location in the Ottoman Empire. It was vastly enlarged during the reign of Suleiman the Magnificent.
