Gillian McCarthy was a seductress, who relied on her talents and street smarts to protect her younger brother, Fillan, and herself. Successful in this endeavor, Gillian joined the Templar Order, and easily became wealthy, though her brother left her, disliking her desicion upon joining. She was able to gain the favors of the most influential politicians and learn the best guarded plans and secrets of the states.
In 2012, her genetic memories were used as an Animi Avatar by the entertainment branch of the Templar company Abstergo Industries, to influence the general public via the Animus games console, under the title of the Lady Maverick.
