Gerhard von Stantten was a Hessian soldier during the American Revolutionary War, in the employ of the British Army, and a devoted member of the Templar Order.
Gerhard stood out in his appetite for war, and with virtually no personality to speak of, he was an unstoppable killing machine that would carry out his orders without ever considering defeat.[1]
In 2012, his genetic memories were used as an Animi Avatar in Abstergo Entertainment's Animus, under the title of the Hessian.[2]
