The Genbu Highlands were a hilly sub-region of Yamashiro, Japan, during the Sengoku period. They comprised the area north of Kyoto and bordered the Wakasa province.[1]
In 1582, the Kakushiba ikki members Fujibayashi Naoe and Yasuke traveled through the region and established a kakurega east of the Kamigamo Shrine.[1]
