Fort George was a fort in New York.
History
Fort George was a fort of many names starting off as Fort Amsterdam, then it became Fort James, Fort William, Fort Anne, before finally using its final name, Fort George.
At the end of the war the fort was destroyed, which was believed to have been another act of malice towards the King.[1]
