History
During the Eighteenth Dynasty of Egypt, the apple came into the possession of pharaoh Amenhotep IV, who associated it with Aten. With his wife Nefertiti, he introduced a monotheistic religion to Egypt centered around the relic, changing his name to Akhenaten.
