Map of Dorsoduro

Dorsoduro was one of the five main districts of Venice, and was famous for being the host site of the annual Carnevale. The district also held an Assassin Tomb, the Santa Maria Della Visitazione, and was a favorite spot for artists.[1]

Behind the scenes

Both before and after Sequence 9 in Assassin's Creed II, the district celebrates the Carnevale, albeit without fireworks or the presence of Carnevale games.
