Wazīr Akbar Khān (1816 – 1845), born Mohammad Akbar Khān and also known as Amīr Akbar Khān, was an Afghan prince and general who ruled as the Emir of Afghanistan from 1842 to his death.

During the First Anglo-Afghan War, he led the massacre of troops under William Elphinstone in the 1842 retreat from Kabul.
