Aisin-Gioro Yinzhen (Manchu:ᡳᠨ ᠵᡝᠨ; Chinese: 愛新覺羅·胤禛; 1678 – 1735), the Yongzhen Emperor (Chinese: 雍正帝), was the fourth ruler of the Qing dynasty of China, reigning from 1722 until his death.[1]
Biography
In 1725, during the breakout of the Shimazu clan civil war in Macau, the Hualien Trading Company's leader Sun mentioned how he wished to deliver a powerful Piece of Eden from Angkor into the Qing Emperor's hands to curry favor with him. However, Sun's nephew, the Chinese Assassin Xiao Han, hated the Emperor with a passion for how his predecessors had persecuted the Assassins and the Han Chinese people, leading him to turn on Sun.[2] Xiao Han ultimately killed his uncle, ending his plan to deliver the Piece of Eden to the Emperor.[3]
