An ink painting of an ibis hunting a clam.
Red-crested ibises prefer shallow water for their habitat due to the plentiful presence of clams in the area. The ibises' long, pointed bills are uniquely suited to penetrating clam shells, sometimes resulting in a struggle between the two animals as the clams clamp their shells shut in defense.
