Heiji is the son of master crafters from Sakai who were killed for defying Oda Nobunaga. Despite his strength, Heiji is a determined pacifist who has turned his back on the violence that has claimed his parents. A skilled blacksmith in his hown right, he owes his life to Tomiko who hid him from Nobunaga's soldiers.
Heiji speaks little but when he does, he reveals a thoughtful, kind temperament and a dry sense of humor.
