Aemilius was a Roman human trafficker who operated in Alexandria, Egypt during the 1st century BCE.
Biography
During the 1st century BCE, Aemilius collaborated with Gaia Afrania, a fellow Roman who operated in Memphis and provided him with slaves. By 48 BCE, the two would exchange a series of letters in regards to their trade.[1]
That year, Gaia had arranged to make a trip to Alexandria meet with Aemilius. However, she was assassinated by the Medjay Bayek of Siwa aboard her trireme on the Nile, before she could make the meeting.[2]
