Cleon's Dam was a dam built across the river flowing into Lake Moeris, connecting the road of Atef-Pehu Nome to Haueris Nome.
In 48 BCE, the Medjay, Bayek of Siwa, infiltrated the camp built atop the dam in order to rescue a captured rebel leader. Bayek escorted the rebel out of the dam, before requesting his aid in attacking the nearby Fort Boubastos.[1]
Trivia
- The location's name is a reference to an ancient Greek architect who designed the canal system of Faiyum during the reign of Ptolemy II Philadelphus.
