The day following Ezio's brawl with Vieri de' Pazzi's men, Claudia met with him feeling sad and depressed. She suspected her boyfriend Duccio, of being unfaithful. Ezio convinced her that Duccio was not the one for her and went on to confront him for Claudia.

After the tragic events that befell the Auditore family, Ezio vows to protect her, along with their mother, and escorts them both to the safety of the Villa Auditore. There, her uncle Mario puts her to work keeping a book of finances for the Villa; a task she finds positively scandalous, since it involves "work."

It is evident that she has been too spoiled by Giovanni, unafraid to be violent when a girl “looked at her boyfriend,” and at times immature, such as when Mario assigned her to manage the Auditore Villa's finances. Regardless, Claudia is very capable of handling and keeping track of the town’s bankroll and her brother's purchases and earnings. She is also kind with her family, being especially emotional over her father and brothers' execution, and her mother’s emotional trauma.

Claudia Auditore da Firenze (born 1461) was a Florentine noblewoman during the Italian Renaissance. She later became a member of the Assassin Order.[1]

Biography

Early life

Claudia Auditore da Firenze was born in Florence, the daughter of Giovanni and Maria Auditore da Firenze and sister to Federico, Ezio and Petruccio.[1]

In 1476, Giovanni, Federico and Petruccio were executed as they were accused of treason against Florence. In fact, they were executed by the Templars, the sworn enemies of the Assassins, the latter of whom her father was a member of. Following this, her brother Ezio exacted revenge on Uberto Alberti, the city's Gonfalioniere, and left Florence with Claudia and their mother. They fled to Monteriggioni, the city ruled over by their uncle Mario.[1]

Although Ezio at first meant only to stay in Monteriggioni for a day, he decided it was best to stay at in the Villa Auditore so that he could finish his father's work.[1]

Monteriggioni's treasurer

Mario assigned Claudia to being Monteriggioni's treasurer, keeping track of all of Monteriggioni's incomes and objects Ezio brought in from the outside.[1]

Claudia also married Mario's finest mercenary and the two eventually had at least one child.[2]

Claudia most likely started her training to become an Assassin as well during these years.[3]

Member of the Assassin Order

In 1499, the city of Monteriggioni was besieged by the Borgia, the most prominent Templar organization, under the command of Cesare Borgia. As a result, Mario was killed and Ezio left for Rome, the Templars' headquarters, to exact revenge. Feeling obligated to do so as well, Claudia followed Ezio to Rome.[3]

She assisted her brother in assassinating Juan Borgia by attending the latter's pagan party with her courtesans. As she revealed herself, she was suddenly attacked by a Borgia guard. However, Claudia killed her attacker immmediately.[3]

Characteristics and personality

It is evident that she had been too spoiled by Giovanni, unafraid to be violent when a girl "looked at her boyfriend" and at times immature, such as when Mario assigned her to manage Monteriggioni's finances. Regardless, Claudia was very capable of handling and keeping track of the town's bankroll and her brother's purchases and earnings. She was also kind with her family, being especially emotional over her father and brothers' execution and her mother's emotional trauma.
