"Cecily Frye. She and your father were partners, inseparable. The only duo that came close to challenging Mr. Starrick. And very much in love, at least, from the small amount I have been told."
―Duleep Singh describing Cecily to Evie, 1868.[src]-[m]

Cecily Frye (died 1847) was a member of the British Brotherhood of Assassins during the Victorian era. She was the wife of Ethan Frye and the mother of twins Jacob and Evie Frye.

Biography

The only daughter of an English steelworks manager based in the Rhondda Valley of southern Wales, and a Welsh mother,[1] Cecily went on to marry Ethan Frye and subsequently joined the Assassin Brotherhood. In time, they also acted as the superiors of the Assassin George Westhouse, whom they trained and ran missions with.[2]

On the 9th of November 1847, Cecily gave birth to Jacob and Evie, but died of complications shortly thereafter.[1] Depressed and in mourning, Cecily's husband, Ethan, traveled to India for sometime[3] after accepting an offer from Cecily's mother to raise Jacob and Evie until the age of six.[1]

Appearances

Trivia

  • The name Cecily is an English feminine form of Cecil, which itself is derived from the Roman name, Caecilius, which is based on the Latin coccus meaning "blind". Frye is a derivative of the English word free.
