The Cauldron was one of the few Legendary Ships encountered by the Templar Shay Cormac in the North Atlantic during the mid-18th century, captained by William Crest.
The Cauldron and her sister ship, the Pilgrim were one of the few pirate vessels after the decline of the Golden Age of Piracy. She and her sister ship were defeated by the Royal Navy and Cormac's ship, the Morrigan in naval combat.
Trivia
- The Pilgrim and the Cauldron re-use the same models as the HMS Fearless and the Royal Sovereign from Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag with some modifications such as color scheme.
- The Pilgrim and the Cauldron are one of the few ships to have a defensive weapon on the stern: the burning oil.
