The Adelphi Theatre is a theatre in London.
In 1888 the Adelphi Theatre actor Richard Altman was stabbed to death by Woody Shinnings, his understudy. Inspector Abberline asked the Assassin Evie Frye to bring him to justice.
Trivia
- The Bounty Hunt is based on a real life incident: the actor William Terriss was stabbed outside the Adelphi Theatre by another actor, Richard Archer Prince, in December 1897.
