History

During the Battle of Bunker Hill, Continental Army reinforcements arriving on the Charlestown peninsula headed to Bunker Hill. At Bunker Hill, Israel Putnam instructed these forces and attempted to organize a defense. However, even with the death of British army officer Jonathan Pitcairn during the battle at the hands of the Assassin Ratonhnhaké:ton, the Continental Army was still defeated.
