Afalvat Mylna

Afalvat Mylna (Runic: ᛅᚠᛅᛚᚢᛅᛏ ᛘᛁᛚᚾᛅ) was a silica mylna in eastern Vangrinn, Svartálfaheimr. During the Muspel invasion, the mill was taken over by both jötnar and Muspels.

History

In Eivor Varinsdottir's visions of Odin's time in Svartalfheim, the Æsir lord Havi and his einherjar crew aboard the longship Skíðblaðnir ventured to the mylna after learning from Eysa that Sinmara was creating a new army for the Muspel forces. Upon arrival, he and his crew raided the mylna and began to destroy Sinmara's creations. While destroying Sinmara's army, Havi and his crew also pillaged four silica pillars.[1]
