Zwolle is the capital city of the province of Overijssel in the Netherlands.

History

During the Siege of Bergen op Zoom in 1747, Edward Braddock of the British Army set up camp in Zwolle. On 17 July, his soldiers captured the deserter Tom Smith and Braddock's fellow Templar Haytham Kenway, mistaking him for Smith's accomplice. The two men were sentenced to hang, though Haytham managed to escape. He unsuccessfully attempted to save Smith to question him further on the kidnapping of his half-sister Jennifer Scott.[1]
