| This article is about the model found in Louisiana. You may be looking for pepperbox pistols in general. |

The Pepperbox Pistol was a small, rustic pistol that had a revolving barrel which could contain up to four rounds.
The Assassin Aveline de Grandpré bought the firearm in the 18th century New Orleans.[1]

Behind the scenes
The Pepperbox Pistol is based on the French Mariette pepperbox pistol. However, this is anachronistic for the period of Assassin's Creed III: Liberation as Mariette pistols were produced in mid-19th century.[2]
