Carroll was a mathematician and a photographer in addition to being a gifted writer of poetry and prose. By any measure of logic, Karl Marx should be an Assassin, but I doubt that's something Ubisoft would want to go. I definitely can't see him being a Templar(but then I don't see, and still don't see, how they made Robespierre one - the fact they had to severely falsify history to do so proves my point).
