Too broad and inaccurate

I fear that this category may be too broad. In addition, although colloquially author refers to a published writer in English, it actually can refer to the creator of any work. I remember I was corrected on this by my French teacher once upon a time in high school, for both French and English. Sol Pacificus^(Cyfiero) 17:54, September 1, 2020 (UTC)

We can Try to break it down into further subcategories like novelist, biographer, journalist, etc but I think there will be a lot of overlap. Lacrossedeamon (talk) 20:00, September 1, 2020 (UTC)

Those are all still writers in some form Lacrosse. I meant that author technically can refer to musicians, artists, composers, film producers, game developers, etc. as well. Sol Pacificus^(Cyfiero) 15:34, September 2, 2020 (UTC)
