This is a pretty significant detail, honestly. It's sourced to the game Assassin's Creed: Identity, but I've played the game and never encountered anything of it. In fact, Ezio only appears once in the game in a non-canonical section, and the entire game is set before Revelations. Can someone verify where in the game this information is given? : Hey Sol. I only found a line in the game file that said: "Ezio died in Firenze at the age of 65. Before his death, Ezio told his wife, Sofia, that on the 22nd birthday of their son, she should gift him a key to a chest that was kept hidden in the catacombs under the Villa Auditore."
:Neither I haven't seen this line in the game. Its might be revealed on the loading screen before the 2015 update. UJ112013 (talk) 16:46, 17 July 2022 (UTC)
::Found another line. "Ezio's wife, Sofia, was never told what lies inside that chest, but she had her suspicions. Fearing that her son would become an Assassin, she threw the key into the river, denying him a dangerous future." --UJ112013 (talk) 13:15, 21 April 2024 (UTC)

Statement needing Verification[edit source]

"However, as Ezio never told his wife what the chest contained, she suspected Ezio intended to give Marcello an opportunity to become an Assassin, and discarded the key into a river, keeping Marcello ignorant of his heritage."

Hey Sol. I only found a line in the game file that said: "Ezio died in Firenze at the age of 65. Before his death, Ezio told his wife, Sofia, that on the 22nd birthday of their son, she should gift him a key to a chest that was kept hidden in the catacombs under the Villa Auditore."
Neither I haven't seen this line in the game. Its might be revealed on the loading screen before the 2015 update. UJ112013 (talk) 16:46, 17 July 2022 (UTC)
Found another line. "Ezio's wife, Sofia, was never told what lies inside that chest, but she had her suspicions. Fearing that her son would become an Assassin, she threw the key into the river, denying him a dangerous future." --UJ112013 (talk) 13:15, 21 April 2024 (UTC)
