Wycham

Wycham was a former Roman temple situated by the Great Ouse River in Grantebridgescire, opposite the Isle of Ely Monastery.

In the 870s, the ruins was visited by the Viking Eivor Varinsdottir of the Raven Clan, who recovered a Roman artifact on behalf of Octavian.[1] Around the same time, Eivor came across a Viking by the name of Axhead, who had an axe stuck on his head. Eivor helped Axhead to remove the axe, ending Axhead's life and reliving him of the axe wound that he had suffered.[2]
