The Tomb of Gorgophone was a tomb located within the depths of the Foundry of Hephaistos in Argolis, Greece.

The burial place of Gorgophone, legendary queen of Sparta and Messenia, as well as the mother and grandmother of numerous notable figures in Greek mythology, the tomb recounted her tale and held her prized possession, a helmet. During the Peloponnesian War, an elderly woman in the Port of Kechries, Korinthia, tasked the Spartan misthios Kassandra to retrieve Gorgophone's helmet for her to study.[1]
