This article is about the temple in Kephallonia. For other uses, see Temple of Zeus.

The Temple of Zeus was a temple complex in worship of the Greek god Zeus, located in the village of Sami on the island of Kephallonia.
In 431 BCE, the temple complex was visited by the misthios Kassandra. She was approached by a priestess seeking her aid in recovering a spear belonging to Kephalos, a mythological figure that the island was named after. The priestess provided Kassandra some clues, which helped her find the Melissani Cave nearby. Kassandra retrieved the spear, giving it to the priestess.[1]
