Tax Collector Greaves

The Tax Collector Greaves were greaves often worn by individuals who served as tax collectors in ancient Greece during the 5th century BCE.

During the Peloponnesian War, the Spartan misthios Kassandra acquired the greaves after helping the slave Agapios retrieve documents from the Chalkis Warehouse.[1]
