The Spartan Javelin was a javelin forged and utilized by the Greek city-state of Sparta since time immemorial. By the 5th century BCE, it was still used by the Spartan army, but it had also spread outside Lakonia's borders.
During the Peloponnesian War, the Spartan misthios Kassandra found this weapon in the inventories of blacksmiths and looted it from bodies and chests during her travels throughout Greece.[1]
