The Spartan Breastplate was a type of bronze breastplate mainly worn by Spartan soldiers during the 5th century BCE. These breastplates were often crafted by helots.
During the Peloponnesian War, the misthios Kassandra could obtain the breastplate by purchasing from blacksmiths or by looting it during her travels.[1]
