Serpent of Serapis

The Serpent of Serapis was a spear forged by Sokar, a blacksmith from Sais in Sapi-Res Nome, Egypt. Said to be his greatest creation, its shaft was wrapped in water-hardened leather, and its blade was forged from "metal from heaven."

The spear was highly revered by many soldiers and warriors within Sais, including the Medjay Bayek of Siwa in 48 BCE.[1]

When Bayek visited Sokar in Sau Village, the blacksmith directed him to several of Sefetu's soldiers, who had stolen the spear and travelled on a trireme around Lake Mareotis. Bayek later eliminated the bandits aboard the vessel and claimed the spear for himself.[1]
