Prytaneion

The Prytaneion was a building and court located in the eastern footsteps of the Akropolis Sanctuary in Athens, Greece.

During the classical period, the court was used to judge objects that had committed or were involved in murders. The attempt of these legal actions removed the stains of blood spilled in the crime.[1]

During the Peloponnesian War, the building was visited by the Spartan misthios Kassandra.[2]
