Paros Harbor, or simply Paros is the capital city of Paros Island, Greece. In classical antiquity it was a polis located in the region of Sculptor's Elysium, often in rivalry with the neighboring city of Naxos.
Thanks to its marble quarries, Paros was considered the richest of the Kyklades and paid the highest tribute in the Delian League. The town also housed a a temple dedicated to the goddess Athena, and a statue of the same goddess overlooking the settlement.

During the Peloponnesian War, the Spartan misthios Kassandra explored the city.[1]
