In January of 878, after being given an order by his king Alfred of Wessex,[1] Odda mobilized his men and attacked Ubba and his army who were encamped near Uffentune along the Afon River.[2] Odda's men killed the Vikings and their leader Ubba, who took several spears to finally kill.[1]
