Monica Samille Lewinsky (born 1973) is a former White House intern with whom United States President Bill Clinton admitted to having an "inappropriate relationship" with while she worked at the White House from 1995 to 1996. The affair and Clinton's resulting impeachment later became known as the Clinton–Lewinsky scandal. After stints as a handbag designer and diet ad spokesperson, Lewinsky earned a Master's degree in psychology and has positioned herself as an anti-cyberbullying advocate since 2014 following years of harassment over the scandal.[1]

Influence[edit | edit source]

In 2012, the Assassin Clay Kaczmarek collected details on Lewinsky's life while Abstergo Industries held him captive at their Animus Project laboratory in Rome. He then hid the information within the Animus 1.28 in Rift puzzles for his successor, Desmond Miles, to find.[2] Sometime in early September,[3] after Lucy Stillman had the Animus 1.28's code copied over to the Animus 2.0[4] and the subsequent 2.01,[5] Desmond solved Clay's puzzle, in which Lewinsky's government-issued intern photo was included to suggest that the Templars, though Abstergo, had access to American civilians via their television sets in an attempt to control the populace.[2]
