Andrea Pisano (1290 – 1348) was an Italian sculptor and architect. In 1340, he succeeded Giotto di Bondone as architect of the Campanile designed for the Cattedrale di Santa Maria del Fiore.[1] He later died in 1348 due to the Black Death, and work on the Campanile was taken over by Francesco Talenti.[2]
