Marcantell (died 1771) was an 18th century raw materials merchant in Louisiana who traded in tobacco, cotton, and sugar, and was well known for his social nature. However, after he was won over by the Templars, the Assassin Aveline de Grandpré visited him on his estate, charmed him, and assassinated him while he was distracted.[1]
