The name of the blade references the {{Wiki|Dökkálfar and Ljósálfar|Ljósálfar}}, or "light elves", from [[Norsemen|Norse]] [[Norse mythology|mythology]] who were believed to live in Álfheimr, as described in the ''{{Wiki|Prose Edda}}''. They were often contrasted with Dökkálfar or "dark elves" who lived underground and, despite the name, were separate beings from the Svartálfar or "black elves" from [[Svartálfaheimr]].

Ljosalfar Blade

Ljosalfar Blade was a seax rumored to have been created in Álfheimr due to the near glass-like polish of its steel blade.

In 2020, the Assassin Layla Hassan applied a modification to her Animus to make a digital copy of the seax available while reliving the memories of the Raven Clan Viking Eivor Varinsdottir.[1]
