Kalaria the Soul Taker

Kalaria the Soul Taker was a mercenary who operated in Greece in 5th century BCE.

Biography[edit | edit source]

After her parents died she was raised by her uncle and over time she learned to endure pain and became a well-known misthios.  She believed that taking the souls of her victims, who could feel her sadness before death, would comfort her broken one, thus earning the title "the Soul Taker."[1]

During the Peloponnesian War she crossed paths with the Spartan misthios Kassandra, who received a bounty contract placed on Kalaria.[2]
