Jörð was a giantess in Norse mythology.

Legacy and influence[edit | edit source]

In 2020, Layla Hassan, an Assassin who relived Eivor Varinsdottir's memories, modified her Animus and included a seax based on Jörð in the shieldmaiden's arsenal.[1]

Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]

Unlike in mythology, Freyja is stated to be the mother of Thor instead of Jörð, but it is uncertain if birth mother was meant or not.[2]
