Jason was a 9th century Anglo-Saxon man from Sciropescire, England.
In the 870s, Jason and his wife Paola constructed their home after their memories of their travels through lands beyond England. After they finished, Jason welcomed a traveler, the Viking shieldmaiden Eivor Varinsdottir into their home. Explaining their reason of their home, Jason went to meet his wife while Eivor thanked him for his wisdom before leaving.[1]
Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]
Jason was inspired by a real-life man of a couple who were fans of the series and became friends with Creative Director Ashraf Ismail. In return, the characters and the corresponding memory were tributed to them, as Jason was diagnosed with bowel cancer and was widowed after Paola died from an illness.
