Hysing the World-Wise was a Norseman from Rygjafylke, Norway, who lived in the 9th century.
In the 870s, Hysing the World-Wise lost his wife, and his mind began to deteriorate as well. His son, Djon, was told to take care of him in his last years by his late mother. However, Hysing's mental faculties kept declining. One day, Eivor Varinsdottir of the Raven Clan visited their home and encountered Hysing. After his "tour" of England to Eivor, Djon came to find them and told Eivor of Hysing's condition. There, Eivor helped with figuring out a way to treat his current condition. She then wished Djon good luck and complimented him on his sense of honor helping his father.[1]
